911 owners overwhelmingly choose full body PPF + ceramic over color change. We do PTS-spec colors when wrapping.
Wrapping a 911
Performance cars are the hardest wrap work and the most photographed results. The 911's curves, vents, and aero pieces demand real installer skill — film has to conform without stretching thin or trapping tension at an edge. It is exactly the kind of car where shop choice shows: Gulf Blue, Riviera Blue, Mexico Blue all read differently depending on how cleanly the compound surfaces were handled.
Wrap, PPF, or both
Owners split between color (a full change or motorsport-style accents) and protection (PPF on the front clip or full body, especially on cars that see canyon miles or track days). The common build is both: PPF where rock chips concentrate, wrap or ceramic over the rest. Because film is removable, none of it touches the factory paint's condition or the car's collector value.
Cost and time
Full color-change work on the 911 typically runs $5,500 – $8,500 (PPF + ceramic) with premium film — about 6–8 days in the studio, reflecting the disassembly and curve work this class of car requires.
